I don't know about you, but as I've mentioned in my last post, art is important to me when selecting a manga to read. I can get by with mediocre art if the plot is really awesome, but they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and since the point of manga is to read a story with pictures, I want my pictures pretty! :P Anyway, here are some yaoi manga and mangakas with pretty art I enjoy!
1) Takarai Rihito wrote Ten Count, which I gushed on about in the post before, Seven Days (drew the art), some others I don't remember, and some awesome artbooks!
2) Ogawa Chise wrote some of the darker themed manga I like, like Caste Heaven, and some slightly more lighthearted ones, like Gosan no Heart.
3) Yoo Ha Jin : manhwa artist/writer, the art in Totally Captivated is breathtaking! I'm not sure what other works this author has written, but I've only read Totally Captivated.
4) Kojima Lalako: wrote Paradise View, and its prequel, Kimi to Parade, some doujinishis, and also Gomen ne Idol-kun. The art is really cute, and more bishounen than ikemen, which I prefer, but it's still pretty to look at!
5) Mio Junta: wrote Love Monster, Yukemuri Journey and Ren'ai Moratorium, as well as countless others, all with her signature style of beautiful bishies and gorgeous ikemen.
Honorable Mention:
Akiyama Koito: wrote Silence and it has pretty people in it too~ Silence is the only manga that I know of that she's drawn, but it's a series of short stories/one-shot type stuff.
